Let It Go Day!
Close your eyes, clear your heart…let it go
Were you aware that June 23rd has been marked a day when we should actively let go of the things, thoughts, regrets and even people that no longer serve us? Thinking it silly, I’ve had it on my calendar for years! But like most days on our calendars I believe that when something gets its own day…we’ll focus on it more-or at least I do. I read somewhere that “in order to truly let go, we must first loosen our grip” and for me (and perhaps most), that’s the toughest part; finally realizing that “it’s time”.
That said, the liberation that follows is immeasurable! The load becomes lighter and we walk a bit taller. This, of course, takes lots of practice but the sooner we realize that we are the only ones “holding on” to those things the better you will feel and the happier you can be! Yay!
So, mark your calendars, or not, but begin a ritual of letting go!
